Fathoms deep through the seas			may be,
Measurable are the seas			in depth,
Scaled can mountain be			in height,
Immeasurable is the depth,			this heart of man.

สายดิ่งทิ้งทอดมา			หยั่งได้
เขาสูงอาจวัดวา			กำหนด
จิตมนุษย์นี้ไซร้			ยากแท้หยั่งถึง
So little yet so much			one knows,
Like a frog which grows			in a puddle,
Knowing not oceans so			ever vast
Becomes befuddled			by its small world.
รู้น้อยว่ามากรู้			เริงใจ
กลกบเกิดอยู่ใน			สระจ้อย
ไป่เห็นชเลไกล			กลางสมุทร
ชมว่าน้ำบ่น้อย			มากล้ำลึกเหลือ
